Hip Hop Wednesday 3-23-05: Minor notes and random stuff

  • Damn it seems like they're giving time out like it's gov't cheese. First Martha Stewart had to do some time now Lil Kim's bracing herself for a stay in the big house.

  • I'm glad that 50 Cent is taking responsibility and stepping up and saying he's a role model. Personally I wouldn't want my children to fashion their lives after 50 Cent but at the same time I would like them to see that he serves for an example of someone who overcame the odds to get ahead.

'Watch what I do, not what I say.' "

Huh? Oh that’s brilliant knucklehead. He expects a kid to ignore verbal prompts and watch what he does? No he doesn't.Secondly, even if they watch what he does, it's not any better than what he says anyway?
Let’s see, he's dated Vivica, found out that she had more thug in her than he thought and quickly dismissed her, (not before insinuating that he “made her”, had women in your video with leashes on, talked about and stood up Lil’ Kim on every Magic Stick promotion that was scheduled but he wants people to look at what he does? Who in de hell would want to rely on his example? Unreliable woman hatin’ ass.

If you say, 'Who do you know who has been shot nine times?' kids across America will tell you, '50 Cent' immediately," he continued. "That's because it's something [the media] decided to point out, and they make that part of the perception of 50 Cent………… every time you see me say that and read about it is because they've asked me about it. It wasn't because I wanted to talk about it.”

Uhm ok fiddy so what you’re saying is… everytime you talk about getting shot it’s because SOMEONE ELSE asked you about it? Ok, so each one of those interviewers cut the camera off, asked you about the shooting and then turned it back on as if it were your idea? WOW!! Sounds like a conspiracy to me! But even if it were a conspira-macy it’s funny that he didn’t complain about it or refuse to talk about it after awhile. Nope. Because it brings in $!!

This is one of the only ignorant to da 10th power mu-fu-ckas out there that annoys me to no end. He just says whatever comes to his lil blank mind and thinks people will fall for it. It would be one thing if his joints were basically about him overcoming certain obstacles but it isn't. It's about cash plain and simple - and he's made it very clear that he'll so whatever he has to do to get it. Including this BS act he's trying to put on!! Isn't it just amazing what a mu-fu-ker can come up with when his label tells him he has to clear up this mess POST HASTE LIKE or his paper will stop stacking? Now he's upstanding and stuff (rolling my eyes!)

Grrrrr……. Can you tell that half a dolla gets on my nerves? :-)

Glad to see you come out swinging like dat. Personally I haven't had as much haterade as you have when it comes to 50.

I think he's a salesman and nothing more. And he's good at his job.

*LOL*! Naw luv, it's not haterade. Haterade is when you take someone down because you're jealous of them and I would never want to be him - regardless of his money. I'd rather be hit by a bus that was going down hill on ice than to be him....or to make it even more fitting - be shot 9 times! *LOL*!

He just embarrasses me and I think Black men can do so much better than that. The only people I think he really appeals to are people too young to understand his impact. But he's going down anyway so I hope he got a handle on the taxes on his million dollar crib! Werd.
